Getting enough sleep is crucial for wellness, because tiredness can lead to accidents, irritability, trouble concentrating, and even serious health problems. If you have trouble sleeping, here are a few tips, courtesy of the Sleep Foundation to help you get more rest:
• Avoid consuming caffeine – including coffee, tea, soda, or chocolate – close to bedtime.
• Avoid drinking alcohol close to bedtime.
• Exercise regularly, but complete your workout at least 3 hours before bedtime.
• Establish a regular bedtime routine of relaxing activities, such as reading or taking a warm bath.
• Make sure your bedroom is dark, quiet, cool, and comfortable.
