September 27 is World Heart Day

Each year, World Heart Day creates awareness about heart disease and stroke, which are the world’s leading cause of death, claiming 17.2 million lives each year.

According to the World Heart Federation, at least 80% of premature deaths from heart disease and stroke could be prevented if risk factors like tobacco, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity were controlled.
